enforcement of criminal laws of the United States through investigation, apprehension, or detection of individuals suspected or convicted of offenses against these criminal laws. This experience must be reflected in the resume. Specialized Experience Requirement:
For the GS-13:
You must have one-year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12. Specialized experience is defined as experience conducting difficult, complex, and sensitive investigations that require development of new substantially modified methods, involving multiple jurisdictions and investigators; conducting risky and difficult undercover operations involving elaborate cover stories; planning and directing surveillance work that involves several investigators in separate places engaged in round-the-clock observation of various groups of suspects; analyzing and evaluating data or investigative materials connected with allegations involving difficult problem areas or novel issues and preparing comprehensive investigative reports. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. IME IN GRADE REQUIREMENT:
If you are a current federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. This requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
