Supervisory Criminal Investigator (Section Chief)

As a Supervisory Criminal Investigator - Section Chief you will perform the following duties:
Establishes guidelines and performance expectations for staff members, and clearly communicates through the formal employee performance management system; Observes workers' performance and conducts work performance critiques, providing informal feedback and periodically formally evaluates employee performance; Plans and develops national and special investigative programs, making recommendations for the introduction of new programs, conduct of pilot programs, and acceleration of existing programs; Determines whether nationwide policies, standards, and procedures have been met and furnishes advice and assistance on operational problems; Confers with appropriate officials of other Federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, to provide efficient reciprocity of services; and cooperates with officials in the resolution of problems that cross organizational and jurisdictional lines. You qualify for the Supervisory Criminal Investigator (Section Chief), GS-1811-14, position if you currently hold or formerly held, a permanent position as a Criminal Investigator, GS-1811-14, position with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
