Program Analyst

Being a Program Analyst makes you a valuable member of the FLETC team and mission. This position is within the Technical Training Operations Directorate (TTO), under the Office of the Associate Director for Training Operations and located in Glynco, Georgia. You will conduct research and analysis, evaluate data, perform special and recurring assignments, and provide technical support for the TTO Assistant Director (AD). Typical assignments include:
Analyzing work processes, conducting special studies, and evaluating program operations to identify problems, inefficiencies, and potential problems. Assisting in the preparation of an assortment of analyses and studies related to portions of the budget. Serving as a liaison between the Deputy Assistant Director (DAD), AD and various offices, bureaus, partner agencies, and organization officials. Participating, as required, in a variety of meetings on important, often sensitive personnel issues and projects, tracking those matters of special concern, e.g., staff meetings, and other conferences and/or teleconferences requiring the staff involvement. Assisting with the preparation of reports, travel documents, agendas, correspondence, and other documents. Coordinating draft presentations with members of the staff to ensure edits and changes are incorporated into the briefing and can be reviewed before presentation to members outside the office. Reviewing briefing process and recommending changes in procedures, equipment, facilities and methods so that information can be accurately and expeditiously presented. Responding to questions and referring the concerns of agency representatives concerning issues, processes, and procedures. Composing and preparing complex correspondence relating to a wide-variety of matters incidental to the administration of functions within the organization. Developing recommendations for solutions and implements new or modified guidelines of operations. Maintaining and updating all the files, to include all office correspondence, reports, records, publications, regulations, directives, and time and attendance records. Developing systems for the control and access to office records and files within to achieve sound management practices regarding maintenance and disposition of files. Experience:
You qualify for the GS-09 grade level if you possess one of the following:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service performing a wide range of sensitive and complex administrative functions. Some examples of this qualifying specialized experience are:
coordinating and scheduling the supervisors appointments and conferences without prior clearance; composing and screening a variety of correspondence; serving as liaison between the supervisor and various offices, bureaus, agencies, and organization officials; obtaining office supplies and services; maintaining resources and records; developing a system for control and access to office records and files; tracking data and monitoring action items to ensure ability to meet imposed suspense dates; coordinating responses from subordinate offices; and maintaining suspense files for recurring requirements to ensure timely action and response. -OR-B. Successfully completed a Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. -OR-C. An equivalent combination of specialized experience and graduate level education. Only graduate education beyond the first 18 semester hours will be combined with the specialized experience. If qualifying for this position based on education, you must submit college transcripts; copies are acceptable.Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.Time-in-Grade:
Current and former federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07 grade level in the federal service. The time-in-grade requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement.The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
