## Job Summary
The College of Communication and Fine Arts is seeking Adjunct Instructors for the following areas within the Hall School of Journalism and Communication: Communication Studies, Journalism, Multimedia Journalism, Broadcast Journalism, Strategic Communication, Public Relations, Advertising, or Public Information.
The department is building a pool of applicants from which to hire qualified candidates to teach on an adjunct basis as needs develop.
Adjunct faculty members are employed to provide specific courses on an as-needed basis. Contracts for adjunct faculty members are issued on a semester/term basis. Adjunct instructors are expected to be available for a reasonable amount of time for each course taught to counsel students regarding course work.
## Minimum Qualifications
1. Minimum of a Master's degree in the teaching discipline (Communication Studies, Journalism, Strategic Communication, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Advertising, or a directly related discipline), or a Master's degree in any discipline with a concentration (minimum of 18 graduate semester hours or 30 graduate quarter hours) in the teaching discipline from a regionally accredited institution (Graduate students in the final stages of earning their advanced degree in a related discipline may apply, but the degree must be awarded prior to being assigned any teaching responsibilities for the Hall School of Journalism and Communication.)
## Preferred Qualifications
1. Previous online teaching experience with the Blackboard learning management system
2. Teaching experience in a traditional classroom environment or experience in an online educational environment
3. Prior professional experience in the field of or a related field

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
