As a Phlebotomist, you will perform collection of blood specimens from patients of all ages and transports specimens to the laboratory for analysis. You will assume responsibility for safety and comfort of the patients in accordance with established laboratory standards and practices. You will provide compassionate care to our patients every day. You will develop and maintain positive relationships with our patients, guests, other team members, and medical staff by striving for excellence in service and quality. You will be responsible for:


  • Demonstrating correct procedure for completion of venipuncture and skin puncture procedures for patients of all ages.
  • Accurately labeling tubes immediately after collection. Never pre-label tubes.
  • Following the laboratory's procedures for specimen collection, labeling, handling, and transport.
  • Demonstrating adequate understanding of proficiency in using the computer systems.
  • Performing laboratory support functions as applicable.
  • Assisting nursing units with requests for specimen collection, specimen transport, and needed supplies.
  • Working flexible hours to include weekends and holidays.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
