As a Registrar, you will support the Health System and the Patient Experience by performing efficient and timely registration of Admissions Department patients.
You will develop and maintain positive relationships with our patients, guests, other team members by striving for excellence in service and quality.

You will be responsible for:

  • Greeting incoming patients and coordinating the registration process with applicable departments.
  • Creating accurate patient encounter records by collecting and entering appropriate demographics into the computer system.
  • Performing phone registrations to ensure scheduled patients are processed and served in a timely manner upon their arrival.
  • Verifying insurance coverage on all patients having outpatient surgery.
  • Initiating insurance precertification on all inpatients out outpatients where applicable.
  • Coordinating the assignment of patient beds in accordance with physician orders.
  • Gathering and processing patient registration data required to meet state, federal and accreditation standards, and ensure that patients are aware of hospital policies and procedures.
  • Informing patients of their estimated financial responsibility for services, and collecting the respective payment due at the time of registration or pre-registration i.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
